An Air Force ROTC, Air Science and Operations program is an educational elective that gives students the opportunity to become Air Force officers while completing a degree in the field of their choice. Upon graduation, students in the Air Force ROTC program will receive the title of officer in the United States Air Force and will be required to serve duty for the United States Air Force.

Air Force ROTC, Air Science and Operations programs are only available as electives, and are a great choice for those who want to join the Air Force while still completing their degree.  As an Air Force ROTC student in your final few years of college, you are committing to complete service with the Air Force for a period of time. As a freshman and a sophomore in the Air Force ROTC, you are part of a General Military Course, which allows you to participate in the Air Force ROTC without the obligation of serving for your country.  As a junior and sophomore, you are then required to serve with the U.S. Air Force if you choose to continue Air Force ROTC.
